The World’s Best Po’ Boy

The Parkway Diner and Bakery in New Orleans is a legendary restaurant. In 1929, the humble shop on the outskirts of town was one of the first establishments in the Big Easy serving Poor Boys, and their recipe has survived for generations.

After closing down temporarily, The Parkway was resurrected in the 1990’s and business has been great ever since. The key to their amazing sandwiches is the homemade French bread the sandwiches are served on. The bread is amazing, but the meat and seafood options squeezed between that delectable bread are tasty as hell, too.

Jackie loves the Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp Poor Boy, and Bob kicks it up a notch with the Parkway Surf and Turf, which combines the Shrimp sandwich with Roast Beef and gravy. Both sandwiches are amazing and HUGE! According to Bob, the Parkway Surf and Turf is the best Po’ Boy in New Orleans and quite possibly the best sandwich in the world.

Order a full-size sandwich so you have plenty of leftovers and order it Dressed (covered with all of the basic accompaniments). You can thank us later.
